Audience

Candidates for this course are System Administrators, Project Managers and Team Leaders who operate in medium to large computing environments who want to create reports about the projects managed in the Project Server Environment.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Project in general. Having a working knowledge of basic project management concepts is also needed.

Objectives

This training provides students the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively create and manage reports via different connections and tools about managed projects.

Methods

Class training alternated with exercises. Each student disposes of a workstation. For each module, the explained items will be performed in practice.

Description

Project Server users can choose between different connection methods and different tools to create reports about project data. This training describes each of these methods and tools, with best practices and recommendations. Power Bi is actually the first choice for reporting purposes, and will in detail been explained. Other tools as Excel and SQL Server reporting services will be explained, but less intensively used. By creating DAX measures we will calculate the most common KPI's for the project manager.
