Audience

IT architects and developers, enterprise architects. This program is designed for IT professionals with experience in systems integration and explicitly targets integration specialists, or IT architects/developers with in interest in this area.

Prerequisites

Participants should be acquainted with relational database management systems and have notions of the SQL query language. They should have some experience in Java programming, and have a basic understanding of SOA, particularly on web services and related standards (SOAP, WSDL, XML), as well as concepts like REST and HTTP. No specific WSO2 knowledge is required.

Objectives

After attending this course, attendees will be able to create, host and manage data services that integrate multiple data stores, and to create and expose composite data views.

Description

Behind most application silos are heterogeneous and disparate data stores. The WSO2 Data Services Server (DSS) augments Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) development efforts by providing an easy-to-use platform for integrating data stores, creating composite data views, and hosting data services.

Data services provide unprecedented data access and straightforward integration with business processes, mashups, gadgets, business intelligence and mobile applications. DSS supports secure and managed data access across federated data stores, data service transactions, and data transformation and validation using a lightweight, developer friendly, agile development approach.
