No prior knowledge on privacy is required. Experience in law and/or ICT is desirable.
This course prepares its participants to a future role as DPO (Data Protection Officer). It covers key legal aspects of the GDPR as well as ICT concepts that are potentially impacted while pursuing compliance with the new regulation.
The 4-day interactive training is classroom based and is held in English. Trainers are a lawyer specialized in IP and privacy law and an expert in implementing data protection in day-to-day operational environments. Many exercises are covered during the training and trainees can participate in an exam. Successful completion of the exam results in certification.
The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) requires a DPO to have the necessary professional qualifications and expertise with regard to data protection legislation (GDPR and others) to fulfill key tasks as stated in GDPR article 39. In this 4-day training course the CRANIUM Campus prepares you for this DPO role. The first two days you get acquainted with the GDPR and other European privacy laws. The last two days you are immersed in putting the GDPR into practice. Exercises, real-life examples, group discussions and exam samples are part of each training day. Taking part in the exam is optional and costs EUR 250 excl. VAT. A resit costs EUR 200 excl. VAT.
