An open mind and an eagerness to learn. A basic understanding of the role of Product Owner is a plus.

Objectives

The main objective of this course is to get you into the Agile mindset. This course will give you a kick start in finding your way through the variety of methods, frameworks and practices, so that you can be inspired to apply them in your own context. We want to enable participants to make a first step into their agile journey as a Product Owner.

Methods

A hands-on classroom-based training.

Description

This course offers a one-day introduction to the most common Agile methods, frameworks and practices, with a focus on the role of the Product Owner. Although the Scrum Method will be addressed in detail, you will learn that there is much more to Agile than Scrum.

Working in an Agile way implies using short feedback loops to continuously learn more about the product you are building. This demands a different way of creating and managing business requirements and taking ownership of a Product Backlog is imperative. During this course attendees will get an insight on how to best manage their Product backlog.

Contents

The content of this course is very much customer driven. Our trainer will work with you prior to the course to ensure that the content matches your needs. This workshop can be organized for teams working together on a specific product, where possible, a real-live case of your organization will be used for simulations. For 'mixed group/teams', the case will become more generic.

Some of the topic included in this course are:

  • The role of a Product Owner
  • The skills you need to take on the role of a Product Owner
  • Introduction to managing a Product Backlog
